Ticks

The Color
The color of ticks generally varies depending on the species, but they are commonly characterized by shades ranging from black to reddish-brown.
The Size
The tick larva measures approximately 1 mm in length, while the adult tick can grow up to 1 cm.The Description
Ticks are small parasitic creatures that feed on the blood of mammals and birds. They are considered pests that can transmit diseases and pose health risks to both humans and animals.
Ticks have a flat, oval-shaped body, with colors ranging from dark brown to black. Adult ticks have eight legs, while larvae have six. The larva measures around 1 mm, while a fully engorged adult tick can reach up to 1 cm.
There are two main types of ticks: hard ticks and soft ticks. Hard ticks have visible mouthparts from above, while the mouthparts of soft ticks are hidden beneath their bodies.
Life Cycle of Ticks
Ticks go through four stages in their life cycle: egg, larva, nymph, and adult.
The female tick lays thousands of eggs after feeding on blood. Each stage requires a blood meal to progress to the next stage. Ticks may need one or more hosts throughout their life cycle, depending on the species, and they may remain on a single host or switch between two or three hosts.
Habitat
How They Enter Homes?
